Turn up the heat in Lyon
Convotherm kicked off the year by celebrating culinary innovation at the worldwide final of Bocuse d´Or, an international cooking competition held in Sirha Lyon. Convotherm added spice to tradition as the cutting-edge premium combi oven and the maxx pro assisted the team as a proud partner of Bocuse d'Or, marking over two decades of collaboration.
Showcases a new look at NAFEM
We celebrated our latest rebrand since joining the Ali Group among 500 industry-leading exhibitors at the NAFEM Show in Orlando, Fla. this year. What better way to celebrate a new chapter of our growth and development than at the future-focused NAFEM Show this year. Welbilt showcased the largest smart restaurant ecosystem, Welbilt KitchenConnect live with Merrychef conneX to Multiplex Fresh Blender. It’s not just our products that are always evolving, we’ve got an identity to match!
Our appetite for global growth to India
The Indian Federation of Culinary Associations (IFCA) hosted an event themed, “Co-creating Inclusive Local Organic Food Systems." The Indian government declared this year to be millet year so our chefs impressed over 300 chefs from across India with millet-made products in our efficient Convotherm combis & Merrychef ovens.
Hallo EuroShop, Dusseldorf!
Welbilt joined the retail world at the Düsseldorf exhibition halls for the major retail trade fair, EuroShop. We showcased retail solutions based on artificial intelligence and cutting-edge sensor technology for maximum efficiency and the highest guarantee of results, whilst at the same time proving economical by conserving resources. The intelligent technology ConvoSense, which enables AI-automated cooking and baking, was a particular highlight.
Dynamic duo wins again
Convotherm and Merrychef presented two products at the NRA Show that received the prize for outstanding tech-driven solutions that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and automation in the foodservice industry. The ConvoSense by Convotherm traveled from Dusseldorf to Chicago to demonstrate the pioneering AI-powered combi oven system which recognizes loaded food and launches tailored cooking programs. Merrychef's conneX® was also commended for its Automated Panini Press, featuring tri-pleX technology, which provides a versatile, ventless countertop speed oven.
Delivering results for Horeca in Hamburg
Welbilt brought its high-quality ovens to INTERNORGA, the leading German food-service exhibition that unites over 1,300 international exhibitors. Our triple threat of Convotherm maxx pro combi, mini combi, Merrychef conneX high-speed ovens, Multiplex Fresh Blender demonstrated gourmet quality at the touch of a button.
AAHAR! in New Dehli
The AAHAR International Food & Hospitality Fair is a flagship B2B event organized by India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO). The show has grown by leaps & bounds in recent years and is today the well-known destination for global vendors and sourcing professionals - New Delhi. In this exhibition, we launched our Ali Brands & Merrychef conneX products which are persistently evolving so aligned with the fast-growing nature of both the APAC region and the event.
ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Sustained Excellence Award
We were delighted to receive the 2023 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Sustained Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy for the 14th year in a row. The award reaffirms our consistent commitment to delivering energy-efficient foodservice solutions that reduce energy consumption and costs. Our valued partnership with ENERGY STAR has been and will continue to be vital in building a clean energy future for the foodservice industry.
Welbilt Marine launches GalleyCare
In Europe, Welbilt GalleyCare embarked on its mission to revitalize the galley catering equipment industry by offering a service to ensure that with regular maintenance, galleys work as smoothly as possible, helping to reduce equipment downtime and enabling maximum lifespan. We look forward to the continued success of this much-requested offering with our customers.

Welbilt returned to the world’s largest U.S. pizza show in March with pizza-making must-haves including the industry-exclusive Garland air deck oven, the specialized Delfield Pizza Prep Table and the Lincoln Aperion impinger oven which reduces cooking times up to 20%. In addition showcasing Frymaster fryers, Merco hot holding, and Merrychef conneX high speed ovens. We kept the audience happy by showcasing these streamlined, unique products working together to deliver dough straight to the dinner table.
‘Levels up!’ at the RC Show
Welbilt showcased cutting-edge foodservice solutions at the Restaurant Canada Show 2023, demonstrating innovation in commercial kitchen equipment. The theme this year was ‘LEVEL UP’! In this ever-evolving industry, Welbilt strives for continuous improvement and growth and at the RC Show had the opportunity to collaborate with others that embrace innovation during the Garland Canada Culinary Competition!
Step into tomorrow’s hospitality world
Welbilt presented Ali Brands and launched the Merrychef conneX 12e at Hotelex Shanghai this year. Hotelex Shanghai is China’s must-attend food & hospitality tradeshow in the region. It was the perfect event to launch Merrychef’s latest high-speed oven with pre-programmed menus – conneX 12e.
K-12 range is feeding the next generation
In July, we attended the School Nutrition Association’s (SNA) 2023 Annual National Conference in Denver, Colorado hosting over 6,000 school nutrition professionals over three days. As well as the K-12 foodservice exhibition booths, there was brand participation from Cleveland, Convotherm, Delfield, Garland, Kolpak, Merco and Multiplex!

Ali Group and Welbilt’s unmissable c-store products were on display at this year’s National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) Trade Show in Atlanta, Georgia. It was the one-stop shop for its industry-leading brands showing how to make the best of space, time AND energy as champions of convenience!
Brand new brands at HOST
Welbilt presented its latest brands at the HOST Milano exhibition such as Crystal Tips and WMaxx. The brands you know and love were also in attendance with Merrychef, Convotherm, Delfield, Frymaster, Merco, Multiplex, and Garland presenting their latest innovations.
A scorching success
This federation has over 300 Purchase managers from all over India from the Hospitality sector. We got the opportunity to showcase our products such as our combi ovens, ice machines & dishwashers. Many were intrigued by the features of Convotherm combi ovens and how it can help them cook excellent quality food while saving on operating costs, energy consumption and labor all in a small footprint.
Consultants build their own lunch
To round off the year we invited consultants to get involved in our interactive brand experience - Ali Group and Welbilt Consultant University – promoting healthcare innovation with Cleveland, Eloma, Aladdin Temp-Rite, and Victory. The University is a great place to discuss ideas around using our leading equipment and technology to build the ideal meal program, while keeping staff hours to a minimum.
